Sage helps you find gifts for your people, save ideas, and plan occasions. This policy explains the information used to provide those features.

Information you provide

• Account information, including your email address and authentication details.
• Information about gift recipients, such as names, interests, relationships, birthdays, and other occasions you choose to add.
• Saved products, lists, imported product links, and notification preferences.
• Messages you send when contacting us and billing information associated with optional paid features.

Only share information about other people that you have permission to use. You can use a nickname and limit details to what is useful for gift planning. Please avoid submitting sensitive information that is not needed.

Information collected while you use Sage

Sage records products shown to you and when you view a person’s feed to improve recommendations and reduce repetition. The services that run Sage may also process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, request logs, and errors to deliver and protect the service.

How information is used

We use information to manage your account, personalize recommendations, keep your saved ideas and lists, surface upcoming occasions, import products, send account messages and enabled notifications, manage subscriptions, and maintain the service.

Service providers and AI features

Sage uses service providers for hosting, authentication, storage, AI processing, email, product extraction, and payments. These include Supabase, Vercel, OpenAI, Resend, and Stripe where the corresponding features are enabled. Information needed for those features is processed by the relevant provider, which may operate in other countries.

Recipient interests and descriptions may be sent to an AI provider to identify shopping interests and generate recommendations. Product links you import may be processed by product extraction providers. Stripe handles payment details for paid features; Sage stores subscription records rather than full payment card details.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect the service or others, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate protections for personal information.

Push notifications

If you enable push notifications, Sage stores your browser’s push subscription and encryption keys to send reminders through your browser or device provider, such as Apple, Google, Mozilla, or Microsoft. Notifications may show recipient names and occasions on your lock screen. You can turn off push on each device in Sage’s notification settings or revoke notification permission in your device or browser settings. Expired subscriptions are removed when delivery fails.

Cookies and external websites

Sage uses cookies to maintain sign-in sessions and browser storage for preferences and the shopping experience. Blocking these can prevent account features from working. Retailer images and links may connect your browser to third-party services. When you visit a retailer, its own privacy policy and terms apply.

Retention and your choices

Information is retained as needed to operate your account and the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. Retention can differ for account records, technical logs, and backups. You can edit recipient details and manage saved ideas and notification preferences in the app.

To request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your information, contact sage@sagegifts.ai. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Available rights and any exceptions depend on the laws that apply to you.

Children and recipient information

Sage is intended for people managing their own gift planning, not for children under 13 to create accounts. An adult may add limited information about a child they are shopping for. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through their own account, contact us so we can address it.
